Quality control

Animal health and welfare are of paramount importance to us, and we adhere strictly to government legislation and guidelines for the production and distribution of animal foods. As one of Europe’s largest producers of day old chicks, we play a major role in maintaining the wellbeing of animals in zoos, animal rehabilitation centres and the falconry world.

To comply with European regulations which record and monitor the movement of animal foods, we send veterinary documents with every delivery. This ensures that each consignment can be traced to its origin and also provides detailed paperwork for authority audits.

At Kiezebrink International we are constantly working to develop new products and innovative production methods.

In 1998, in cooperation with HKI Wageningen BV, we introduced a new culling method for animals designed to minimize suffering, and this is now used throughout Europe.

Working with zoo nutritionists, an animal food manufacturer and a company from South-Africa, we have introduced many new animal diets for exotic herbivores.
